Unlock the Timeless Wisdom of the Yogic Tradition
About Sattva Publications
A SACRED OFFERING OF KNOWLEDGE
ROOTED IN THE HIMALAYAS – SHARED WITH THE WORLD
Founded in 2019, Sattva Publications is an extension of the teachings of Anand Mehrotra, Himalayan Yogi and founder of Sattva Yoga. Our purpose is to share authentic yogic wisdom through powerful, transformative books.
Each book is a living transmission—offering insights that awaken awareness and deepen one’s spiritual journey.
Our journey began with This Is That, Anandji’s interpretation of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras (Padas 1 & 2), followed by That Is This (Padas 3 & 4), and Liberation, based on the Isha Upanishad. We then released 18 Insights on Life: For Contemporary Times from the Gita—a profound and accessible exploration of timeless wisdom for navigating modern challenges with clarity, purpose, and presence.
These works are for seekers ready to explore truth, stillness, and the path within, supported by eternal Himalayan teachings brought to life for today’s world.

This Is That
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras – Padas 1 & 2
This Is That is a powerful and accessible guide to the first two chapters (Padas 1 & 2) of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. In this book, Himalayan Master Anand Mehrotra offers a fresh and practical interpretation of one of the most important texts in the yogic tradition.
Whether you’re just starting your yoga journey or have been practicing for years, this book helps you understand what Yoga truly means—not just as a physical practice, but as a state of inner freedom and awareness.
With clear insights and deep wisdom, This Is That shows you how to apply yogic teachings in daily life and supports you in uncovering your true nature. It’s more than a book—it’s a guide to living with purpose, presence, and peace.

This Is That
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras – Padas 3 & 4
That Is This continues the journey through the Yoga Sutras, diving into the profound insights of Padas 3 and 4. In this book, Anand Mehrotra explores the advanced stages of yogic awakening—unfolding the nature of siddhis (yogic powers), inner mastery, and ultimate liberation.
With clarity and reverence, this companion volume expands your understanding of the yogic path, helping you move beyond discipline and effort into pure being and realization.
Whether you’ve already studied the first two chapters or are stepping into the deeper terrain of yogic consciousness, That Is This invites you to embody your fullest potential. It’s a roadmap for inner transformation, guiding you toward freedom not just from suffering—but from separation itself.

18 Insights On Life
Contemporary Times From The Gita
18 Insights distills timeless teachings from the Bhagavad Gita into clear, potent reflections for modern life. In this book, Anand Mehrotra shares eighteen powerful insights that act as guiding lights through today’s complexities—offering spiritual clarity, practical wisdom, and a deeper sense of purpose.
Written for seekers navigating uncertainty, growth, or spiritual curiosity, each chapter speaks directly to the heart and mind of this age. You’ll find inspiration rooted in dharma, courage, love, and surrender—reminders of who you truly are beneath all roles and responsibilities. This is not just a book to read—it’s one to contemplate, return to, and liveby.

Liberation
An Interpretation Of The Isha Upanishad
Liberation is a meditative and illuminating interpretation of the Isha Upanishad—one of the most profound scriptures in the Vedic tradition. Anand Mehrotra offers a poetic yet practical lens into this ancient text, bringing its eternal truths into clear, present-day relevance.
This book invites you to explore the paradox of the formless and the formed, action and stillness, renunciation and engagement. Through it, you’ll come to see that true freedom isn’t found by escaping life, but bymeeting it with awareness, devotion, and fullness.
Liberation is a doorway into the sacred—both cosmic and personal. A companion for the contemplative soul, it reveals the silent power of living in unity with all that is.

Reading ‘This Is That’ felt like sitting in satsang with a living master. Anand Ji’s words don’t just inform—they transmit. I’ve studied the Yoga Sutras before, but never experienced them like this.

18 Insights’ helped me navigate one of the most difficult transitions in my life. The Gita felt like it was speaking directly to me, but Anand Ji made its wisdom practical and alive. I keep it on my desk like a spiritual compass.

Liberation’ is a masterpiece. The Isha Upanishad has always felt distant to me—abstract and poetic. This interpretation grounded it in my heart. Every page is an invitation to go deeper.
Neha M. Meditation Facilitator, Mumbai
I use ‘That Is This’ as a living text for my personal practice. It clarified so much about siddhis, inner mastery, and the subtle journey beyond ego. It’s profound, clear, and utterly transformative.
Daniel K. Yogic Psychology Student, Berlin
These books are not just for reading—they’re for living. I gifted the full set to our retreat participants, and the response was overwhelming. The teachings meet you where you are and guide you inward, gently but powerfully.
